The Jack Weiler Chaplaincy

Named for a great humanitarian, the Jack Weiler Chaplaincy Program oversees the comprehensive chaplaincy network serving hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and developmentally disabled centers. This also includes City, State and Federal correctional institutions.

Our Chaplains faithfully serve those individuals facing challenging circumstances so that these people will not feel alone or abandoned. They counsel families and individuals in decision-making processes during all kinds of crises including terminal illness, family estrangement, questions of faith and explaining tragedy to children and young people.

The NYBR requires that Chaplains receive proper certification (CPE – Clinical Pastoral Education) to receive our endorsement. Many of our Chaplains also receive special disaster and spiritual training, which proved to be so critical in the aftermath of 9/11.
